It’s been a while since I’ve been home from my trip to South Florida and I still haven’t shaken the vacation blues! This wasn’t just the typical tourist trip — Of course we went to Wet Willies and hit the beach, but we did so many other cool things. It was a dream that I never wanted to wake up from! We kicked off Day One at the Vizcaya Museum & Gardens in Miami. It was a beautifully, restored villa owned by Mr. James Deering, an agricultural millionaire that fell ill and moved to Vizcaya to regain his health from the warm climate and sunshine. Mr. Deering loved landscaping and plant conservation!
Pictures weren’t allowed inside the villa but, it was humongous, breathtaking, had a pool seen from inside and out, secret stairwells and rooms filled with Louis Vuitton luggage. Yes, real vintage Louis Vuitton luggage. Deering knew how to live!
It was something about spending a few hours at the villa that got us ready for the week! The way the sun hit the gardens, the way the ocean splashed against the ancient stone, the lizards walking amongst the tourists, and the views … ahhh, the views! It was only Day One and I was so ready for more! Have you ever been to the Vizcaya Museums and Garden? Would you ever go? Check out #CCinMiami on Instagram for all of my IG pics!
