While listening to The Weeknds in my room, I overheard the ice cream truck song and ran to the window to make sure I wasn’t buggin. I wasn’t. I haven’t seen an ice cream truck on my block since I was little. Once all of the kids my age grew up, they stopped coming down my street. But now my block is filled with kids again! And to see all of them run back and forth between the truck and their parents to get money … that got me all warm inside. Day maker, for sure!
Just something about your first ice cream truck experience of the season.
It’s the little things.
Damn…this takes me back! I miss running 2 the ice cream truck!
GIRL, I really hopped up and ran to my window like I heard Santa and his reindeer on the roof. I told him he had to come back more often because there are a bunch of kids on the block again and he used to come around all of the time when I was little. He said it wasn’t him, it was his brother but now that he knows, we’ll be seeing him more often. I can’t wait because I was too busy capturing the moment, I didn’t even get to buy anything. SMH 🙂

Well, needless to say, the ice cream man never came around my “block”. I’m from the Vile, we’re lucky that we have a corner store-owned by my Aunt nonetheless. 🙂
Aw man! The Vile doesn’t have ice cream trucks with all those open fields and country air you all have ? I’ll bring you some when I visit again 🙂
