While spending this past weekend at my ace’s apartment in Harlem, we spent some time at our usual pizza spot. And while throwing back slices and garlic knots and guzzling our favorite C&C flavored sodas like real New York implants, we were stopped by the haunting name, Osama. And when looking up at the TV screen, plastered across it were the words
“OSAMA BIN LADEN HAS BEEN KILLED!”
And just like that, we were stopped in our tracks, taken back to the feelings of September 11, 2001. We couldn’t move. In shock and disbelief of what we were witnessing. History has been made, just as that tragic day 10 years ago. We have always said “Never Forget.” and we never have. Coming full circle, marking the anniversary of that day, we have all been blessed with a smidge of closure, what we have all been waiting for.
Thank you, Mr. President Barack Obama for providing us with that ounce of serenity. Osama Bin Laden has been killed. May God continue to bless America!
